Sam and Linda have been ardent participants in square dancing for many years. They have held office in local, regional, state and national square dance organizations many times. Their successful steering as general chairman of the 54th National Square Dance Convention® in Denver, Colorado in 2004 then allowed their join of the National Executive Committee. As member of the National Executive Committee, Sam and Linda served as NEC presidents for the 2009-2010 term. They have been instrumental the NEC's presence on the Internet and introduction of related activities that help the NEC increase its public awareness to the 'World's Greatest Square Dance Event'.
