Who is the NEC?

The National Executive Committee (NEC) serves as Directors of the National Square Dance Convention®. Each member is a past General Chairman of a National Square Dance Convention®. Only past General Chairman may serve as NEC members.

Each NEC member is assigned a geographical area of the US to which they serve as advisors available to provide information about the National Square Dance Convention®. A square dance organization within this area may contact the NEC member for information about how to bid for a national convention.

When a square dance organization chooses to bid for a future convention, four NEC advisors are assigned to them to assist in the bid preparation and its presentation and continue as advisors to that organization when a bid is awarded until the completion of the convention.
